Gardening Friends of the Big Bend will meet at the North Florida Research and Education Center near Quincy at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010. The purpose of this group is to promote gardening and gardening research by supporting and assisting the faculty and staff of NFREC - Quincy. In addition to the regular business meeting, Pete Diamond of Florida Natural Areas Inventory and GFBB member, will present a program on "The Gardens and Plants of Southeastern Australia". Although he will focus on the natural gardens of the region, their native plants and animals, Pete will also show some pictures of botanical gardens. Additionally, he will have photos of Australian-origin plants that we grow here in North Florida. The Public is invited.
